Professional Supervision
NZAC Registered & NZCCA Approved
I am also available for professional supervision. If you are; working as a counsellor, working towards a professional membership or, working as a social practitioner in another of the helping professions I would be happy to hear from you to discuss your supervision needs and to see if what I offer is a good fit for you.
The purpose of Professional Supervision is for practitioners to engage in critical reflection of client work and to help develop and maintain ethical, effective practice and accountability.
I regard supervision as critical in helping sustain cutting edge practice and maintaining professional enjoyment and wellbeing. Supervision should be supportive of practitioners and to also provide some vibrancy and challenge.
Supervision may focus on a range of issues including: assessment, intervention strategies, application of theory, the nature of relationships, transference issues, parallel process, ethics, spirituality, culture including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status in counselling practice.
